Thursday Oct 18th “Day of Action” Southside Community Church 7135 Walker Avenue

9:00am -2:00pm providing homeless people access to health care and service providers, outreach workers, dentist, breakfast, lunch, clothing & comfort kits.

Ongoing support for homeless people is available at the Outreach Resource Centre at Southside Community Church on Thursday mornings 10am-12pm This centre has serviced over 1000 people since Nov 06, averaging 30-40 people weekly. Many people attending

the Outreach Resource Centre volunteer weekly to “give back” to this growing caring community.

The Burnaby Task Force on Homelessness has documented the increase in numbers of homeless people in Burnaby since 2002, and has received generous community support. The need for donated clothing, non-perishable food, personal hygiene items, monetary donations is continuous. Donations will be gratefully received at the new Progressive Housing at 7836 6th St Burnaby, the New Southeast District Community Policing Office 7191 Arcola Way 604-656-3275 behind Highgate, or the office of MLA Raj Chouhan 7879 Edmonds 604-520-2756.

Please drop off your donated items by Oct 10th for the “Day of Action” event.
