BURNABY – The Burnaby Task Force On Homelessness is collaborating with Quilts Etc. to gather donations of clothing,
blankets and food for Burnaby’s less fortunate.
“Our project aims to support Canadian Communities in need by Donating 10,000 pillows and pillowcases to Registered Charitable Organizations across the country as part of a broader mission to create dialogue and strengthen relationships in our communities, inspiring change.” – CFO of Quilts Etc.
“The dream is that together, we as a community can bring ideas that formulate in our communities into action, reaching out to and connecting with others to make a difference.” – Elyshia Eng of Quilts Etc.
“Burnaby, like all cities in the Lower Mainland, has an increasing number of people who are living in extreme poverty and homelessness,” adds Wanda Mulholland of the Burnaby Task Force On Homelessness.
“The Task Force believes that by working together with three levels of government, social service agencies, businesses, faith communities and concerned citizens we can ensure the provision of necessary housing and services for Burnaby citizens.” Wanda Mulholland
